Since the corona virus turned the world on its head in March of this year all public events in-person events have been cancelled… or worse, been moved to webinars…
Jk. Jk. I’ve participated in and hosted a few webinars in my career and know that the value can be tremendous, especially when attendees can’t be present. It’s just that you really have no idea how well your audience is engaged with these. Even in a microsoft teams presentation when everyone turns on their camera, there is no way to professionally call out Ricky-Bobby for walking over to their refrigerator for their morning protein shake in the middle of your new product launch.
Recently a manufacturer partner reached out to me and presented a new way to do their digital training – instead of hosting 45 minute new product training sessions, their company had created a 25 day interactive text based program utilizing Hubspot. Participants were sent a text and asked to watch a 2-minute video in their own time and every 5 days were asked to take a quiz. Intrigued, I signed up for the class.
I was very impressed.
In world where tapping someone on the shoulder to get their attention is verboten, this program did just that. Once a day at noon, I would receive a text prompting me to watch a 2-minute video (which I could complete at any time) and at the end of the week I was given a 5 question quiz for which I was entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card. The videos were great, the content was clear and applicable and the tests helped me commit it all to memory. How did they do this? How did they manage all of that content, contacts, forms and results??? You guessed it – Hubspot.
So what is it?
I am just diving into all that you can do with it, but Hubspot is software solutions company that develops products for inbound marketing, sales and customer service. They provide tools for customer relationship management, social media marketing, content management, lead generation, web analytics, search engine optimization, live chat and customer support.
